Temp Help Needed at the SBC Meeting in Indy

We need two workers at the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana to assist the LifeWay Research team. We are looking for two energetic seminary students to work (for pay) Monday and Tuesday, June 9 and 10. One would work the hours of 9-5 and one is needed the hours of 10-8. Email research@lifeway.com for directions how to proceed if interested. You must be SBC and cannot have been anywhere near anything sinful in the last 6 months.

Seriously guys- this advert has been live for over 24 hours as I write this. It's ridiculous and someone there surely must know that. If not, oh my... things really have turned sour over in Nashville.

I have been busy lecturing all day at New Orleans Seminary and, while I was gone, it seems you missed the humor in my ad.

I found the ad, and your response, funny... next time I hope you can join in the fun rather than pronounce my ad "stupid."

As I said, if you are going to comment on the blog, particuly with such strong words, let me suggest you poke around and see the sense of humor first. And, for that matter, it might be nice to lighten up and have a little fun... I do.

Of course, it could be a "you gotta' be SBC to get the joke," but I am guessing it might be birthed from your view of LifeWay.

Perhaps that view changed a bit today.

I hope so.

We are nice people... really. And, I think it is funny that some people are legalists. So, we poke fun at ourselves.

Ed, who woulda thought the ad would get such reaction? I guess even younger SBC folk as are serious as our recent forefathers and mothers.
They obviously don't know you.
