I am worn out after a long day at Whiteboard Sessions. Since I knew most of the speakers, they asked me to interview them... which was rewarding and exhausting at the same time. You can watch the interviews here. Later, here at the blog, I will post the interviews individually with some commentary... they were very different from one another and said some, well, different things. But tomorrow is a short church planting event in the morning (the event goes longer, I just speak in the morning, see here). Then, I am off, gone, outa' here to spend the weekend with my daughters in Washington D.C. Looks to be a great conference...with great speakers.
BTW, did you have to pay them to be first on the flyer? :)
wow, nothing like taking your kidaloons to DC on one of the busiest weekends of the year...you are a brave and, quite possibly, a crazy man...have a great time!
These are great. You did a nice job with these guys.
Great job @ WhiteBoard and at the church planting conference the next day. This will be my first planting experience so it's great to see both the personal side (whiteboard) and the practical side in the same weekend!
Ed,
Just wanted to pass on bro, that I was extremely moved by your comments at Whiteboard. The story of your sister resonated loud and clear for me. Our 16 year old daughter died in April 2001 in a car crash and I did not yell at God on a Beach, but in my driveway for 2 hours. The idea of pushing through doubt to faith had not dawned on me at the time; but it was in fact what I had experienced.
I am currently a member of Vince Antonucci's church and I am the 1st home grown church planter out of the original congregation. We will be planting in the Lehigh Valley of Penna. in 2009. If you read Vince's book, our story is in there (lump in the grass or backyard). Anyway.., I wanted you to know that I really appreciated the way you shared your heart up there - so.., thanks!
Blessings to you and I pray your road trip with your daughter is a huge blessing!
IHL,
Richie Merritt
