Catalyst Friends,

Here are the stats I presented at Catalyst on Friday. I promised to post them here today.

As you will recall, the numbers are those who agree, somewhat or strongly, with the statement listed. I have only listed the agree percentages. You can download the PowerPoint I used here. You can pre-order the book, Lost and Found, here.

Thanks for coming to Catalyst and coming by the blog. And you are welcome to come back by and stay up with the blog this week to learn more about church planting in Europe!

Wow, amazing stats, can't wait to read the book!

Ed, would it be possible to grant me permission to use your Power Point for a class I teach: "The Church's Ministry" Baptist Bible College (PA). It well complements some of the issues/subjects we are covering in the class. I, of course, will give you all the credit and accolades, and I'll even push your book :)

If you have any questions or need more info, just email me.

And "Thank you" for your good work for the Church, I always enjoy reading your material and blog.

Blessings
Bill H

Feel free, Bill. That is why it is here.

Hi Ed,
Met you in Seattle. Have you seen Rodney Stark's book... "What Americans Really Believe?" A good complement to what you have here. How effective have stats been to move churches into mission? How do you use them effectively?

Ed,

Great stuff here. Sobering, but hopeful for those who are looking.

Thanks to you and Lifeway for making this available to us. Really appreciate the openness - it is very helpful.

Neil,

Got the book and think it is well done.

Thanks, Art, and thanks for the promotion on your blog!

Ed

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the info

Interesting stuff. Thanks for the info

I wouldn't describe these stats as amazing, more like disturbing to me. I am anxious to read your book and learn, I hope, what Christ's church should do about this (in your view). Hopefully these revelations don't encourage churches across America to follow the lead of some Mega-Churches where doctrine and worship is based on the completion of congregant surveys.

Ed, I enjoyed the material presented here and I am looking forward to the book and the information that will be presented from your findings.

I look forward to using your thoughts in my teaching ministry as the Young Adult Pastor and helping our church take a fresh look at claiming and reclaiming an emerging generation to the Kingdom of God.

Would it be possible to find out how many people were surveyed for these questions? Thanks ahead of time!
