From May 22-May 30, 2009 I will be hosting a vision trip with Darrin Patrick and some of my friends with the Upstream Collective to Rome, Italy and Marseille, France.
While each of our vision trips are unique we want to incorporate the following elements into each tour:
Our goal is to let you explore and experience what God is doing in the city, whether that looks like going mountain biking with some local enthusiasts, sitting down with university students over coffee or volunteering at a clothes closet for immigrants. For more information on these trips please check out www.theupstreamcollective.org Here is how this trip is shaping up. Friday, May 22nd: Fly from your destination in the states to Rome, Italy Saturday, May 23rd: Arrive in Rome: Orientation and Site Seeing Sunday - Tuesday: Visit various ministry venues in Rome, take part of some informal missions teaching from myself, Darrin Patrick, Caleb Crider, Larry McCrary and more. Tuesday evening: Take overnight train to Marseille Wednesday - Friday: Visit various ministry venues in Marseille, France Saturday: Fly home from Marseille unless you decide you want to stay over and visit more of Europe on your own. Contact the folks at the Upstream Collective to get more information. If you can't come on this trip, I will be leading another trip to an undisclosed location in the Two Thirds World in Fall 2009 and Daniel Montgomery of Sojourn Church will be co-leading a group to London and Paris in late May 2010. see you in Rome.
I am glad to hear that you are coming to Rome and are bringing people to pray. Your prayers and presence of all those that you bring will be a blessing to all of us serving and living here in Rome. Ed, I have listened to sermons from both you and Darrin Patrick while riding the metro here in Rome and it would be great to meet you guys when you get into town. My family and I have been in Rome for almost 2 years and are serving with Campus Crusade for Christ. Ciao!
