The break turned out to last longer than I expected. I had planned to speak at the Nazarene National Pastors Conference but the meeting was canceled due to the economy. I am hoping we can reschedule because I was excited about my time with the pastors of the Church of the Nazarene. (The National Conference on Preaching was also canceled for the same reason and I am wondering if more will follow. There are probably others already, but I just happen to know of those two.) Anyway, due to the canceled conference, I had the great privilege of staying home for an extra week. I took a couple of weeks vacation over Christmas, but not traveling is like a vacation to me. So, other than a day trip to/from Indianapolis for the North Central States Rally (a great meeting, by the way), I have not traveled since early December. But, I just updated my "out of office message" and it will be a busy couple of weeks. That might mean slower blog posts and delayed email response. You can find more info about these events on my blog speaking page, but here are the next two weeks:
Thanks for praying for the speaking times and think of me while I am suffering for the Lord with my wife in an undisclosed location for a few days! Posted on January 19, 2009 at 11:43 AM ~ 0 Comments Tagged with: conferences, preaching, speaking, travel, wife |
