Traveling the Next Two Weeks

Monday January 19, 2009   ~   0 Comments

travelsuitcase.jpgI have greatly enjoyed the December-January break from travel. It has been a great time of refreshing with my wife and children. If you follow on Twitter or Facebook, you have heard much about my family, friends, and my new habit of exercise.

The break turned out to last longer than I expected. I had planned to speak at the Nazarene National Pastors Conference but the meeting was canceled due to the economy. I am hoping we can reschedule because I was excited about my time with the pastors of the Church of the Nazarene.

(The National Conference on Preaching was also canceled for the same reason and I am wondering if more will follow. There are probably others already, but I just happen to know of those two.)

Anyway, due to the canceled conference, I had the great privilege of staying home for an extra week. I took a couple of weeks vacation over Christmas, but not traveling is like a vacation to me.

So, other than a day trip to/from Indianapolis for the North Central States Rally (a great meeting, by the way), I have not traveled since early December.

But, I just updated my "out of office message" and it will be a busy couple of weeks. That might mean slower blog posts and delayed email response. You can find more info about these events on my blog speaking page, but here are the next two weeks:

  • January 19th, Jackson, MS (Mississippi Evangelism Conference, open meeting)
  • January 21st, Miami (private meetings at Christ Fellowship)
  • January 22nd-26th, Vacation, out of the country and contact
  • January 26-27th, Albuquerque (New Mexico Evangelism Conference, open meeting)
  • January 28th, Dallas (Innovation3 Conference, open meeting)
  • January 29th, San Diego (Vineyard Churches National Leadership Team Meeting)
  • January 20th, Hendersonville, TN (preaching as normal on Sundays)
  • February 2nd-3rd, Springfield, MO (Assemblies of God National Discipleship Summit, private meeting)

Thanks for praying for the speaking times and think of me while I am suffering for the Lord with my wife in an undisclosed location for a few days!
