I made an unplanned trip to Orange County this week-- and Donna is along with me. Two weeks ago, Rick Warren asked me to join the team at Radicalis. I spoke yesterday. The Christian Post reported on my message here and Erick did a summary here. As is my custom, I will post the video and my notes at the blog soon. So, I will be hanging around at Radicalis for the rest of the today, then visiting with the Warrens and others, and finally bringing the message at the weekend services at Saddleback. My message will be, "Forgiving Like Jesus: Why You Should and How You Can." Please be praying for the closing of the conference as pastors and leaders are encouraged to live radically for Christ and his mission. --------------------------------------------------------- Posted on February 12, 2010 at 10:14 AM ~ 3 Comments Tagged with: 3 CommentsComment PolicyComments are welcome on discussion posts. Ed,
I am a long-time member of H'ville First Baptist and must say your time as interim there CHANGED MY LIFE!! Now, I'm commuting back and forth between H'ville and Orange County, and while in the OC, I attend Saddleback with my future husband.
With that said, I happen to be in the OC this weekend and will be attending Saddleback's 4:30p service tomorrow. I could not be more excited to enjoy your teachings again in honor of Radicalis, and I can't wait to introduce my fiance to your awesome words of wisdom and entertaining presentation of God's word!
May God Bless You and Thank You for teaching me to BELIEVE in the POWER of God again!

I imagine the speakers featured above will also have interesting and engaging presentations, but I grow weary of these discussions that get limited by the limited demographic of the speakers. Where are the female voices? The non-Americans? The people of color? The poor? If the church ever hopes to grow in relevance and maturity, it needs to open the pulpit to these all too silenced and marginalized voices. New wine in new wine skins.

Ed,
Did the links for the videos of radicalis ever make it onto your blog? If so, I missed it. Can you tell me what date it was?
